TAM London Review part 2

Part two starts off with the evening session after the conclusion of day 1 of TAM London. An up-slap meal of proper bangers and mash was part of the ticket price and it went down a treat. After some more inter- and post-prandial chin wagging with some of the great skeptical folk I met it was time for the evening’s entertainment.

An Evening With Robin Ince And Friends.

Now I’ll say up front that I had to split before the end of the entertainment to catch the last train out to the skeptical wilderness of Hampshire. But I did get to see Robin Ince introducing and being his usual funny self.

Josie Long was next up with her brand of wry wit and then I’m afraid to say that there were two other chaps who took the stage but I have absolutely no clue who they were. It was quite disconcerting and honestly even more so now I can’t find a lineup of who played and so can not even pretend to know who they were. But anyway they were great as well. Sort of.

No idea who these guys are.

No idea who these guys are.

If I’m honest I actually found the guy on the right rather too weird for my personal tastes. I didn’t get what he was trying to do and couldn’t understand what he was trying to say with his music. It seemed disjointed and broken. But that’s me.

And then I’m afraid it was time for me to leave.

It was quote a long day of awesome skeptics enthralling the crowd and getting support for skepticism in return. Long day and very interesting. After a train ride home and a good night’s sleep I would be raring to go for day two.

Robin Ince rounded off Day 1 saying that “to be at a gig where you say ‘Richard Feynman’ and get a round of applause is a great gig”.
