We are all just about recovered from TAMLondon and thoughts are already turning to February and QEDCon in glorious Manchester (England’s true second city). The guys at Manchester and Merseyside Skeptics Society have arranged for a discount rate at the Ramada in Picadilly where the conference is taking place and if you would like to stay there, please state QED when booking. The rooms rates for 2 people sharing a single room are £53pp for Friday and £75pp for Sat. without the discount at the time of posting this update. For those on a more limited budget, the best deal I could find was the Travelodge which is but a stones throw from Picadilly (actually in a better spot at the top of Deansgate, better bars and eateries) and at a bargain rate of £35.75 pp per night and that’s barely higher than hostel rates so I know which one I would be going for if Wayne and Coleen weren’t putting me up for the night.
In terms of what we can get up to, Manchester has the best nightlife in the country but I suspect that we will be centred around the hotel yapping away like the eternally curious bods we are.
